Mental Health Workshop for Employment Consultants/Community Services professionals
A one day workshop designed specifically for employment consultants & career planning professionals.
Based on industry feedback we have a comprehensive & practical one day workshop that will provide knowledge & strategies to:
o Recognise common mental disorders
o Provide interventions & solutions to assist clients back into work/activity
o Assist jobseekers via supports pre work, at work & after work
o Identify & target strategies for clients to overcome mental health barriers including:
Behavioural conditioning
Reframing
Reinforcement & motivational strategies
Psychological strategies
Cognitive therapy
Each workshop is delivered by 2 presenters combining professional mental health expertise along with experienced employment services management.
Participants receive a workbook that contains resources & toolbox templates to assist professional practice. Up to 70% of jobseekers experience mental health problems that affect their ability to find & sustain work. How can we lessen anxiety, manage stress & function effectively? This workshop provides cognitive behavioural & social learning strategies to assist these clients.
The afternoon session involves working through a bio-psycho-social formulation (motivational interviewing). This matrix can be applied to any clients that experience mental health issues & provides the jobseeker with an intervention & motivational pathways plan.
